Our Fellowship Hall was filled with warmth, laughter, and the delicious smell of homemade soup and chili on Sunday, February 22, as we gathered for our annual ASP Soup & Chili Cookoff. It was such a joyful afternoon of good food, friendly competition, and meaningful fellowship.
We had a wonderful variety of soups, chilis, and cornbread to taste and vote on, and it was so fun watching everyone go back for their favorites. The highlight of the afternoon was the dessert auction. The tables were lined with beautiful homemade cakes, pies, cookies, and other sweet treats generously donated by our church family. Once the bidding began, the room filled with energy, laughter, and plenty of friendly rivalry — all for a great cause.
The generosity of our bakers and bidders made a real impact. All proceeds will support this summer’s Appalachia Service Project mission trip, helping our youth and leaders serve families by making homes warmer, safer, and drier.
Thank you to everyone who cooked, baked, bid, organized, and showed up to support ASP. It was a sweet success in every way!
